How to VOTE for Delaine!

First of all - we advise you to VOTE TODAY by email. We do not recommend mailing your ballot at this point, given postal service delays. The LAST day to vote Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 5PM (PDT). Each of the Statewide Offices are on the ballot. Make sure you are 'qualified' so your vote counts; if you need a fee waiver, please fill it out today (see bottom of this page). Please scroll to the bottom for information on the convention schedule, how to register, and proxy info.

There are three (3) ways to vote: online, by mail or by phone. Please VOTE ONCE only – either online (preferred), by mail or by phone:

  1. Vote Online: You should have received an email from Merriman River Group (MRG) on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 (later if you were registered as a delegate later). The email will come from [email protected] and will contain a specific PIN code number assigned only to you. You will use the PIN code to access your ballot at MRGvote.com. Be sure to diligently check your email inbox and follow the instructions to vote online. If you have not received your email, please check your junk/spam inbox.
  2. Vote By Mail: Ballots will be mailed to all delegates. If you choose to vote by paper ballot, please be sure to mark your ballot, sign your name and mail your ballot in the enclosed prepaid return envelope. Mailed ballots will be picked up from the secured post office box on April 16th and April 21st. Please mail your ballot promptly and allow sufficient time for delivery. Please note, postmarks are not acceptable. We highly recommend voting by email.
  3. Vote by Phone: For those without internet access and/or who do not want to vote online or by mail, you may also vote via touch-tone phone. Instructions on voting by phone will be included with your mail ballot package. Instructions will include the phone number and a specific PIN code number assigned only to you. You will use the PIN code to access your ballot over the phone when calling the automated attendant.

Again, you may vote ONCE using ONE of three ways to vote. If you vote more than once, only the first vote received by MRG will be counted.  If you need help or have questions about this process, please email: [email protected] or call 1-888-317-1906.

In order for your vote to count, your convention registration fee and 2021 DSCC dues must be paid or you must have requested a financial hardship waiver by 5pm (PDT) April 21, 2021. Please go to cdpconvention.org/register and log into your delegate portal to pay dues and fees. You may also request a financial hardship waiver through your delegate portal; there are no eligibility requirements. Your eligibility to vote will be verified before your vote is counted.

Thank you in advance for your commitment to the California Democratic Party and for participating in our upcoming 2021 Statewide Officers and Regional Director Election.  https://www.cadem.org/officer_rd_elections/

DELEGATE REGISTRATION

OBSERVER REGISTRATION

Although we’re not able to assemble our delegates in one physical space, we will gather “virtually.” The California Democratic Party’s 2021 Convention will be hosted on a digital platform - much like the organizing and grassroots work we’ve done over the past year. Please be sure to adhere to deadlines we’ve set in advance.

PLEASE NOTE - REQUEST FOR ACCOMMODATIONS!

For those requiring American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters, Real-Time Captions (CART), or any other specific ADA requirements, please complete the Accommodations Request Form by Sunday, April 11, 2021, @ 5:00pm, for CADEM staff to make the necessary arrangements.

DELEGATES PLEASE NOTE: We highly recommend using a desktop or laptop device when registering. If you are using a mobile device, please switch to desktop mode. Once you have logged into your portal and you do not see the “CONVENTION” tab, log out, clear your cache and then log back in. You should then see the “CONVENTION” tab.

Note: All registrants to the 2021 Virtual California Democratic Party State Convention meeting will be considered credentialed once approved by the CADEM Credentials Committee on Thursday, April 29, 2021, @ 6:00 pm. The 2021 Virtual California Democratic Party State Convention Credentialing will end at that time. There will not be the ability to register during the actual Virtual Convention meeting.
